Received a popup to update to a new version. Went to the site, downloaded (saved) and when I tried to install I got the below message:
Thanks for any help. DICK

Ignore this, you evidently really have your computer tied to Microsoft because this is from Microsoft. Evidently you have a setting on your computer that Microsoft wants you to change....DON'T. Leave things as they are because there is no reason everything you install has to come from Microsoft. I would wager that most of what I have on all of my computers did not come from Microsoft and I have never been prompted to take only things from the Microsoft store either.
To be sure that your settings for Apps is fine and doesn't require you to go to the Microsoft Store go to Settings>Apps>Choose where to get Apps and make sure the box shows Anywhere. Just like my attachment
There is no reason not to install CCleaner, just be sure to WATCH the install and Decline any Extras offered, like Avg or AVAST. All you want is CCleaner period. Where did you get the CCleaner update? This link is where you should get the free version; www.ccleaner.com/ccleanerAttachments:

"Where did you get the CCleaner update?"
I clicked on the popup. I should know better! I installed the update from your link.
Many thanks Judy, DICK

You're welcome! Just noticed you're a Viet Nam Vet. So is my husband. He was there from May 1967 to May 1968. He was with 6/15th Artillery in Lai Khe for the first 6 months and then in Dec. went to 1st Infantry Div. Replacement Detachment in DĩAn just north of Saigon. He got to that location just a month before Tet. He came home safe and sound thank goodness.

WOW!!! I was there in 1965. I was with 1st Cav, Recon, 2nd bat, 7th Cav. I was in Ia Drang Valley (The movie: "We Were Soldiers"). And then, the same afternoon that 1/7 left, our battalion headed for LZALBANY where we were ambushed by NVA replacements that had just come across the border from Cambodia. 157 KIA, 125 WIA. It was the bloodiest one day battle of the war! I came out OK but lots of survivor guilt. Then in 1992, PTSD kicked in and kicked my a**. Counseling for 8 years. I still have bad nights.

DICK Tom was lucky. Came home untouched really. Doesn't talk about it much though now the Grandson's ask and he does tell them what they want to know.
Our oldest daughter was born on Jan. 23, 1968, same day as the Pueblo was taken by North Korea. His unit was on alert for possible re-deployment to South Korea but that went no where. Because of the Pueblo capture all communications via the Red Cross was shut down so he never received notification that he was a Daddy. We could tell he didn't know by letters he sent so we contacted Red Cross again and they sent a new notification but that was the day the Tet Offensive began and the Red Cross office at Di An was bombled so he still never was notified. Only way he finally knew was he received a letter from my Mom telling him. But we didn't find that out for 3 weeks...mid Feb. cause no mail came to us during that time. Before that I got mail every day. Scary for sure.

I was quiet about it for 27 years and after therapy I realized that talking about it the best thing for you. Better if the listener is another vet that will understand what you are talking about. Also is the person is a good listener.

Just read your interesting postings. I simply want to thank you both for your service; Acker1 for all the years during the war and many years after, Jill for being the wife at home of serviceman. Best wishes to both.
