How can I set up my computer so that when I click on "Email a link to this Page" on web pages or the icon I put on my computer, I can send it using my Hotmail (free) account? At one time my main email account was thru the local phone co. where our Internet is provided and that email used ThunderBird. for several reasons I no longer want to use that email account except for 'junk email'. Is there a way to set it so that the Hotmail account comes up and not ThunderBird when I click on the "Email a link to this Page icon?
I am using Windows 10.
Thank you.

You will have to remove your Thunderbird as your Default email by removing it in Default Apps in order to stop that one being used when you want to send a link via email but since Hotmail is a web mail and you are accessing it via a browser I honestly am not sure that you can designate it as the default mail service and have it come up when you click on the "email this link" on certain web pages. I am sure somebody else can tell you if this can actually be done.
Another thing is that not all web pages allow this to be done this way, some still will require you to type in the email address you wish to use to send the link. Depends on the set up of the web page you want to link in other words.

You could set up Thunderbird with only Hotmail as the active email account. Your "junk" email account would then need to be accessed via your browser.

Since in actually came out in 1946 at the theaters when I was a baby I only remember it because I saw it on the Wonderful World of Disney on TV some Sunday night in the 1950's but I certainly will take the rest of the day as a "zippety do".

Why didn't I think of that? How do I go about doing this Phil-Judy? Delete the email account from your Internet Provider from Thunderbirdand and access it via a browser and then follow these instructions to put Hotmail into Thunderbird
