Is Chromebook a good idea as replacement for a 5 year old HP laptop that is getting slower than molasses. I am trying to persuade my husband to buy a new laptop.

I have never used one though I certainly have seen them because the school system my grandkids used to attend gave the HS students Chromebooks to use for their schoolwork, they turned them back in at the end of the school year.
Remember that a Chromebook does not and cannot run Windows. It has the Google OS. If you have an android phone the interface is similar.

I actually read Ask Leo newsletter before, that’s why I was wondering what people on this site would think. I might have to forget about a Chromebook because we use Microsoft Office all the time. I sure like the backlight for the keyboard though. Thanks for your answer
