In Update and security I just saw that I could download and install Windows 10 20H2. I am not sure if it is a good idea to do that now or better wait? Normally I always update everything as soon as I get notice. Thanks, Vera

Go ahead and take it. Several others here have been offered it and have had no problems.

If his is the one on the left then he is one version behind yours so that is what he got today. This 2004 update was not automatic, it had to be done manually so that is what you got when you updated his.
You have to have that in order to get version 20H2 so you already had 2004 on your computer. 20H2 should be offered on his fairly soon I imagine. I have not been offered it yet but I am not worried about it because they are doing a slow roll out so it will come.

I was only wondering because I always update his when I do mine. It will be interesting to see when his rolls around. Thanks for all your input, Judy.

I am going to guess here that when you did Your update to 2004 it was not offered on his. This was an optional update at first so on some people's computers it was offered and on others it was not. I was offered it the first day but back then my granddaughter, who is an IT specialist, said not to take it yet because there were minor problems with it. Well after a couple days it wasn't showing on my update offers and it wasn't offered again until just the other day, when I took it because she said it was very stable. May be the case with your husband's computer too. Don't worry, 20H2 will be offered.

I was offered 2004 probably 6 weeks ago if not longer. Did do it. It got installed automatically along with 20H2 last night. The only problem that I have is that all day today I have not been able to use Windows Live Mail to send or receive anything. I have to go to the server to check my mail.

I looked at his settings and 2004 was the one uploaded yesterday. We’ll wait until 20H2 is offered. On my laptop both got installed yesterday. Everything is working fine. Thanks.

My husband's laptop finally got the update! I installed it this morning. Better late than never. :-)
