Having a problem trying to use my Epson V600 scanner with slides and negatives.
Scanner keeps coming back telling me to remove the slide/negative holder. Unit will scan if the holder is removed but that leaves no way to position slides or get negatives off the glass plate of the scanner.
Any ideas as to what is going on?
Thanks, Craig

I did get an answer from the "Printerforums.net" group which solved the problem I was having with the scanner. Now I seem to be having another problem with the scanner. That is when trying to scan 4 slides at a time the scanner preview shows all 4 slides but when it goes to scan it only scans one slide. This has to be some type of software problem on my desktop computer, as I install the scanner software onto my laptop and it works just fine with no problem at all. Oh well just one more thing to work on. Whoever said computers make life easier was wrong.

Lots of things can be at play here but could be incompatibility of the desktop with the software. Which is the oldest computer, desktop or laptop? Have you used this software with the desktop in the past? I had a major problem this past weekend with my printer/scanner and one of my laptops. Now none of those are Epsons, laptops are both Dell's and printer/scanner is an HP. It was the oldest laptop with problems it had come with Windows 7 but had been upgraded to Windows 10, newer one, which came with Windows 10, had no troubles whatsoever.
What I did was a total removal of the printer/scanner from the older laptop and a total uninstall of all the software that came with the printer/scanner. I set it up again as if it were brand new on that one laptop only and everything then worked perfectly. It was a pain but it worked so it was worth it.
