I been using the Mailbird email program, but my trial has expired.
Is there a free version that I'm missing? If so, does anyone have the URl for the free site?
Thanks in advance, Mary

Sorry Mary, but at the moment there is not a free version. Thanks Judy. I've been using the Windows 10 mail program, but I don't think it's as good as the old Windows Live mail was. I haven't tried Thunderbird, and I was wondering which of the two(Windows 10 mail or Thunderbird) do you think is better? Thanks, Mary

Like you I really didn't like the built in Windows mail program. If I had to choose between it and Thunderbird then I certainly would take Thunderbird. I tried it and Mailbird and found I preferred Mailbird. But since you want a Free program then I certainly would pick Thunderbird over the Windows Mail.
There are questionable sites that claim to offer a free version of Mailbird, DO NOT TRUST THEM as those sites are NOT affiliated with Mailbird and in general are dangerous sites. If you do choose to pay for Mailbird then it is $39 a year and you can use it on three machines I believe.

Never heard of Mailbird so just went to their website. I was offered one years service for $1.63 a month ($19.56) for a year.
I use Postbox and have been using it for years. A couple of years ago they switched all customers to lifetime licenses. Don't know what their current policy is but the program is excellent, frequently updated and is based on Thunderbird code.

I have a lifetime license to Mailbird. Sounds like it was the same switch that budgall received from Postbox. I don't know how often they offer that but know it does happen.
Edit: I just checked out Postbox and saw they have a special offering a lifetime license for $29.00
Sounds like something you might consider Mary

Thanks to all for the advice.
I'm trying out Thunderbird, and it's just taking me a little while to get used to it, but I like it better than the Windows 10 mail program.
I may try the Postbox offer next.
Thanks again, Mary

Thanks so much for coming back and letting us know Mary. People just don't seem to understand that this is so important. This makes it so easy for those offering help, we don't want to keep giving suggestions that never work and we don't know that unless those like you let us know. It is also important for other who might be looking for the same thing. They also need to know if suggestions are good or bad and folks like you let them know so they don't waste their time on something that doesn't work. You always come back Mary so thank you, thank you, you also are helping others! Judy
