This started last night--See if I can describe my problem.. When viewing a video the video keeps pausing. I'm not on Wi-Fi, my internet speed is good. I've ran CCleaner. If I go to a website and click on a video for instructions or something similar it will play for a few seconds - pause for a few seconds and continue on that way thru the whole video.

Prior to yesterday, you did not experience the buffering?

Does this happen with all videos from all sites or just some videos and some sites? Have you tried pausing the video for a short time before you begin to let it play? This will allow the video to download a little way ahead of time so that you can let it catch up and watch for a longer un-interrupted period. You can also download the video completely first and then play it. That downloading will take longer but should allow you then to watch the whole thing without interruption.

Almost all videos---some I've watched months ago. It has never happened before last night I've tried pausing and waiting a bit. When I do that I notice the bar at the bottom doesn't go ahead of the bar showing where the video is. this isn't the type of video you would get on Netflix or on YouTube .

Unless we know what sites are causing trouble it is hard to know. The sites that are hosting them play a big part. Each provider has recommended minimum speeds to view their content. The quality of video also plays a big part. With the ones you have watched before is this the same computer or a different computer? Same time of day or different time of day? Do you have the same internet provider or a different one? All of this can play a part. What browser are you using to play these videos.

I'm going to call ISP tech support tonight and test the modem, then I'll get back and answer all questions. I have some ideas.

I can't think of anything I did. Again this morning everything is working as it should. Must be the magic of Microsoft.

Would have absolutely nothing to do with Microsoft, more likely a problem with the speed of your internet service at that time. They got it fixed and therefore all works well again.

This happens to me sometimes with bad weather in the area or a lot of people on the Internet in my area at the same time.
