Right, I have just about had it with Apple and iTunes ! I am unable to download any music tracks. I have funds in credit with them to cover the cost. It gets as far as 'accessing iTunes store' and thats it ! I don't know if it is now a requirement to join Apple Music for a monthly charge. If that is the case I have downloaded my last because I don't want to belong to that. I successfully downloaded mid December with no problems. My iTunes version is up to date. I have tried the same procedure on my laptop which has an older version (for reasons known only to itself will not update) I have also tried the same on my iPad mini and my iPhone. Same result.
So I did the right thing and created an email query to Apple via Contact Apple Support from within iTunes which it said would be replied to in 48 hours No chance of that happening as when procedure is completed a message comes up saying my request cannot be completed at present and to try again later. So - I have money sitting there with then that I can not use to buy music !
I have also put a question on Support Community forum

For anyone having similar problems I would say just persevere. I am still not able to purchase through the iTunes app directly on my PC but was able to do so on my iPad through the iTunes Store app. This was impossible last night. I had no response to my query on the Apple communities forum so guess none of them have the solution either
