I know this is a computer forum. But i tried to register on a roku forum but it wouldnt let me for some reason so im hoping someone can hep here....i have a roku connected to hdmi1...when i switch my tv to video to view a dvd it automatically goes back to hdmi1....it does this ovwr and over till eventually it will stay on video. Im assuming its because the roku is always on therefore it detects the signal....because if i press a button on the roku it automatically goes to hdmi1....there is nothing wrong with the tv.is there any way i can make it stay on the source i choose short of disconnecting the hdmi from the roku? As there is no power button on the roku. Its always on.

I don't own a roku but could easily have registered at this roku forum as long as I followed the three steps, Agree to Terms, Fill in full information including a valid, workable email address so they can send you an activation code and then using the Captcha box.
Is this problem brand new or has it always happened? How many HDMI inputs are on your TV? How is your DVD player connected to the TV? This occasionally happens when switching from our satellite connection to our Fire Stick connection but it is the satellite that the TV reverts to. We just keep trying and after a few tries it works fine.

it does the same thing you just described. after i cycle through the inputs it finally locks on. guess it searches for the first available signal and locks on to it.

read above and judys reply. ? what you said yours does... you can try and put it on a different channel but it reverts back to HDMI1 because thats what the roku is connected to. it does this because it latches on to the first signal. finally after 2 or 3 tries i can get it to stay on what i put it on.
