I don't care for the Adobe PDF reader. I really like the Nitro PDF Reader I've been using for quite some time, but lately I've had quite a few PDF's that just won't open. I get an error message when I try to open them.
Is there a way to fix the Nitro PDF reader or any suggestions for a free PDF reader to replace Nitro PDF Reader?

Thanks in advance, Mary Mary, I don't know which OS or which browser you use. In Windows 10 Microsoft Edge is the default .pdf viewer or there is the simple "Reader' available from the Windows Store. Just right click the pdf file to choose what opens it (either as a one-off or you can choose to always open that type of file with your choice) Pdf's can also be viewed in Firefox or Chrome. Unless you need the extra features 3rd party apps provide you don't need to install anything new. I have Edge set as the default opener and if I need to do extra work on it I open with Nitro or one of the others I have installed. Uninstalling Nitro and reinstalling a fresh download as already advised should be the solution if you wish to keep using it. Version 5 is the current one. www.gonitro.com/pdf-reader |

I use Firefox browser.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Nitro PDF reader and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the link Everton.

I use tracker editor,you can do anything with pdf files.

Yes my post was not very clear.I have used pdf-X change products-Tracker software for years with good results.
