I've updated my desktop to the latest Windows version after experimenting with an old laptop to test for any pitfalls.
The only issue that I have seen is that the updates created quite a few empty folders on my desktop. I have sent them to the Recycle Bin.

The current version of Windows 10 Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.388). Use "winver" (without the quotes)to determine the version of Windows on your computer.

I think Barney was referring to the initial update or to an update after the initial update to Version 2004. I did not see any empty folders after I updated to 2004 or applied the future updates since the initial release.
My initial thought was that you were thinking the update was named Windows 2004. Speaking of 2004, do you think Microsoft will have stabilized Windows by the time Windows Version 2004 is released?

Those empty folders are a bit weird. Were they Named ? Did You ‘show hidden Files’ to make sure there was nothing in them and were there files on the desktop you had before the update that disappeared ? I would be reluctant to delete them from the recycle bin unless you are quite certain they should go. Possibly they could be from apps that are not compatible with the new os.
