The 20H2 version of Windows 10 also known as the Windows 10 October 2020 Fall Update is now available for download and installation. More info can be found at t.co/8ctXDV0DbG.
I have not downloaded and installed it yet but do have a test computer that has been running the previews. Nothing exciting or must have features are contained in this version. As always update and install at your own risk and be sure that you have a good system backup prior to updating.

I have just installed the latest update and everything seems ok.

It has not been offered to me yet which kind of surprises me as I usually get them as soon as they are released. I did download the .iso file of the update to discover it is too big to fit on a standard DVD disk (4,793,216 KB). I'll download it again later and create a USB stick. I will wait a few days to see if they finally offer to me before I do a forced update. It contains no must have features to me so there is no rush to install it.

It was not offered to me either. I will wait until it is offered. I follow my IT granddaughter's advice when it comes to this stuff.

What make/model of printer? You very possibly may have to reinstall the printer, I have had to do that when these types of Windows Updates happen. Your printer also may need a new driver, from the manufacturer of the printer so check on that too.

Microsoft finally offered the 2020 Fall upgrade to my laptop last weekend, clicked on install and it installed quickly without any issues. Still have not been offered it on my desktop computers so yesterday I manually updated one of the computers, again with no issues. Today I decided to update my other Windows computers. The first one completed again without issues, the second one is currently in the update phase and 23% completed as I type. The manual update process does a complete reinstall of Windows and takes about 2 1/2 hours (+ or -) to complete. The update through Windows update is pretty fast (minutes vs hours).
Reminder: This update does not contain any new must have features.

I've not been offered it on either of my computers and I will wait until I am. Especially since budgall says "it does not contain any new must have features."

The Update was offered to me on my PC this evening. All appears to be good. I have to say it was the fastest update ever - the whole operation, download, install and restart was completed in less than 15 minutes.

If so that is why it was so fast because according to Microsoft the update then will install like a monthly update. If you don't have that installed then it will take a bit longer.

I had a Feature Update installed on 29/05/20 and 3 further Cumulative updates for Version 2004 since then.
