Hi! My Firefox yesterday changed my screen . . . is it an update? The text is so big.....I have been trying to zoom it down. I have it set for 90 but it is still so big. Plus my Facebook appearance has changed too. My question is this: "Has this changed for you too or did I do something wrong"....it is usually me ....LOL.......Thank You....a 86 year grandmom who is still trying to stay in the loop....Marie

Hi Marie, I doubt it would be anything to do with Firefox if your desktop icons are also larger. Have your tried a restart ?
You can right click on your desktop and select Display Settings and from here you should check the Display and Layout settings. Make sure it is set to 100%.

IF this change does have something to do with the FIrefox update then the cause is likely due to an add-on or extension not working anymore with the browser. In order to check and see IF this is the cause then restart Firefox in SAFE MODE, that is Firefox Safe Mode NOT the computer. To do this in Firefox go to HELP, Restart FIrefox and choose Restart Firefox with Add-ons disabled. The browser will restart without any of your add-ons enabled. If the browser works correctly then you will know the cause IS one of your Add-ons or Extensions. Then you will have to re-enable them one at a time to find which one is the cause. When you do find it then remove it.

I had it happen to me a couple of days ago also. Don't know if Firefox was the problem but it did occur sometime after Firefox was updated. Like Eve described an easy fix.

Very good catch Eve. I haven't used Firefox in quite awhile but if I had been it is likely I would have experienced the same problems.

That's what happened on my computer. I fixed it by right clicking the desktop, selecting view and changed the icon size to the size I wanted. No problems since.

jholland1964....What browser are you using please.....since an update on Firefox everything on my lap top is mixed up. I tried all the suggestions that were made here, but the text is still small.. even the taskbar....If you could recommend me another browser I would appreciate it. Marie Thank you!

Marie, now I am very confused by your posts. The first one you said;
The next post after following Everton's suggestion you said;
But NOW in you last post you say;
So which is it? Too big or too small? It cannot be both. And was EVERYTHING on your computer too big at that time? All your desktop Icons, the taskbar, Everything? Or just what you viewed via Firefox. You told Eve that her suggestion worked so it is very unlikely that the cause is Firefox but more likely the settings on the computer itself. I will happily help you change browsers but FIRST we need to find the actual cause of the problem. Did you follow the instructions that I gave you about starting Firefox with all add-ons and extensions turned off to see if the problem of large type was not present?

When is your son-in-law coming Marie? I really think the fix will be simple. You said you have it set to 90. That is TOO small. Recommended setting is at least 100 and I have mine set to 125.
Follow Everton's directions again but this time change the setting to 125.
Right click on your desktop and select Display Settings and from here you should check the Display and Layout settings
