I would like to be able to open my Spectrum e-mail from my Yahoo e-mail account. So far, everything I can think of to try has not worked. In other words, I would like to sign in to my Spectrum mail account (******@triad.rr.com) through Yahoo mail. Anyone know how to do this?

I would like to be able to open my Spectrum e-mail from my Yahoo e-mail account. So far, everything I can think of to try has not worked. In other words, I would like to sign in to my Spectrum mail account (******@triad.rr.com) through Yahoo mail. Anyone know how to do this? Paul This is not possible at all. Yahoo and Spectrum email are two separate email "companies" and not connected with each other in any way at all, it cannot be done. Yahoo comes from Yahoo! is a web services provider, owned by Verizon , Spectrum email is provided to your via your Internet Provider. Spectrum Internet is an Internet service provider which provides cable Internet service. It's a division of Charter Communications, formerly known as Time Warner or Brighthouse Cable/ Internet and, before that, Road Runner which is why you have .rr.com in your email address. The only way you could come close to doing what you want to do would to be use an email Program, like Outlook, Thunderbird or something like that where you access you email without using a browser but it downloads onto your computer. You could set up the email Program to access both accounts, though not together but separately. You would use the program, sign into the Yahoo mail, download the mail to your email program and read it. Sign out of that yahoo account and then sign into the Spectrum account and do the same. But they could not be accessed at the same time or within the same screen. They would have completely separate Inboxes, Sent Boxes, Contact lists, etc.

If you have a GMail account you could access them both from GMail. www.makeuseof.com/tag/import-manage-multiple-email-accounts-gmail/Yahoo! Mail currently only supports synchronizing mail only with the following account types: Gmail, Outlook.com, AOL and other Yahoo! Mail addresses. www.lifewire.com/check-other-accounts-with-yahoo-1174472I would also recommend Thunderbird as mentioned above by jholland. I have three accounts accessed through Thunderbird - they do not need to be separately signed into, as I have them remember my passwords and the new messages are downloaded simultaneously.. They appear as separate accounts with their own folder boxes in the same folder pane. There is an extension that allows the messages to be merged called Unified Folders. I have never used it so can not comment on it but here is the Mozilla link kb.mozillazine.org/Global_Inbox#Unified_Folders

Thank you Judy and Everton. I figured that was the case but since I do not know everything, I figured it was worth a shot to ask those who know much more than myself just in case I was missing something.
Thanks again to both!

You should be able to open your Spectrum email and from there set it to forward your messages to your yahoo mail. It will then open those messages in your yahoo mail.

I have Spectrum email, I do not have Yahoo but I do have gmail. Tried what you suggested and set it to foward mail to gmail and I couldn't get it to forward automatically from Spectrum to gmail unless I specifically told each mail to do so. What am I missing?

That is the exact same site I have used since signing up with RR, 15 years ago, name of course is different now, third name/company change in fact, but otherwise all is the same and those are the exact directions I followed and they did not work.

I have tried to get another email to forward to my Yahoo account but as I said in post 2 it does appear that only Gmail,Outlook.com,AOL and other Yahoo! Mail addresses are accepted. See my attachments for the sequence when attempting to add an "other" account. The 'Add Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more' in my folder pane is clickable and leads to the other boxes.

I have a gmail address to which messages from several other email accounts are forwarded. I have no Yahoo account so perhaps the forwarding does not work with Yahoo.

As I said earlier in post #6, I do not have a Yahoo Account either, I have a gmail account and the forwarding instructions given in the Spectrum link you posted, which is the identical link and instructions I used, did not work with gmail either. As noted by Everton twice now, therefore Spectrum mail cannot be synchronized with Yahoo mail and therefore, the OP, paulh, cannot do what he would like to do between his Spectrum mail and Yahoo mail. Also, even using the instructions on the Spectrum site, I could not do the same between my Spectrum and gmail accounts either. I of course could have set up gmail to receive my Spectrum mail but I did not want to do that since my Spectrum mail is my default email address and I certainly did not want to import all of my Spectrum email into gmail.
