The following message came to me via email"
A solid performer
DriverUpdate spares you the potentially laborious task of checking all of your drivers to see if they're up to date—and it makes it quite easy to do so. Both the PC pro and amateur can use this tool to maintain a healthy, functioning PC.
- PC Mag, January 2017**
Is this a good thing to do?
Thanks.

As noted by the excellent link given by Everton....DON'T use programs like these. Plus, specifically, the DriverUpdate program is known Junk and is well known to come with bundled (meaning you won't know it is there) 3rd party software. Type of things that get onto your machine with you knowing it and then will change the registry, change things like your search engine, home page, etc. Then you'll need to run malware removal programs. A good question and nicely timed to coincide with a similar question about such "miracle one click programs" that was posted 2 days ago on a technology blog " Rick's Daily Tips" put out by Rick Rouse .... His article's answer mirrors the good advice given to you by Everton and JHolland in their posts with a similar warning in the article's title, " Scam alert: Avoid programs that promise to fix your PC with one click!" . And he calls those programs what they usually are, "MALWARE" themselves.... I'll just add one additional short read to the articles/info posted by Everton and JHolland to further enlighten you on those types of programs.... www.ricksdailytips.com/do-fix-all-programs-work/#more-41536
