The Digital Imaging forum is where members can post their own photographs for sharing. It is also the place where members can post a photo they own that needs editing assistance. This can be an old family photograph that needs fixing, creases removed, torn areas blended, brightening, darkening, sharpening, that type of thing, etc. Also feel free to discuss and recommend any editing programs you have experience using.

Hi Guys Is there not a restriction on the size of any pics that members might post? Brian Yes there is a restriction. The board itself is restricted to a maximum of 200 MB Total...that means the entire board. At the present time we stand at 16 MB, so right now all is fine. The number allowed per post is 3 attachments and maximum attachment amount allowed per post by Pro Boards Attachment plan is 1MB total and if you try to attach something larger that is blocked automatically by the board software . The biggest one we actually have now is 967.6KB or roughly .95 MB. The picture is very large. Much larger than needed really. I urge all members to try to keep your attachments to a smaller size, one way is to use the image resizer noted in this thread: newworldtech.freeforums.net/thread/145/image-resizer-windows?page=1&scrollTo=933This resizer does an excellent job and does not affect the quality of the picture. Attachments in the PC Ask and Answer sections will always take precedence as they are for problems and instructions. Other areas in the General Section, the Digital Imaging, Suggestions, and Off Topic areas will be closely monitored. Unnecessary graphics will not generally be allowed due to our space limits. As noted, Digital Imaging is for personal photographs that users post and some could need to be removed if space becomes an issue. However needed removals to regain space would begin with the oldest pictures/attachments from the General Section, OT to begin with followed by the very oldest pictures from Digital Imaging. We do keep a very close eye on attachments and the amount of space used so we should really be fine.
