MalwareBytes has released a new version of AdwCleaner. The new version is 7.0.4.0. In the AdwCleaner forums at least one user has reported this release still has problems. The prior version 7.0.3.0 has had problems that MalwareBytes has acknowledged and announced that they would be fixed in the 7.1 release scheduled in a few weeks (that announcement was about 3 weeks ago) and would include new enhancements. This release 7.0.4.0 is an interim release supposedly fixing the 7.0.3 issues which as I said at least one user still had problems.
I did download 7.0.4.0 and ran it on a Windows 7 and a Windows 10 computer. Both computers showed that no problems were found. Therefore nothing to fix.
Should you use this version or wait for the promised 7.1? I don't know the answer but if you are having issues and have been following the recommended cleaning procedures I don't think it would hurt to run this release of AdwCleaner
