Scan Gaurd

If I recall correctly, this program was discussed last year at WS and was found to be a scam program. Since that information is no longer available I did research this program today.

Based on several combinded threads about it at Bleeping Computer I would not touch this with a 10 foot pole.

 It is one of those allegedly free programs that always finds something but requires you to pay in order to clean.
It is not even mentioned on two to the top antivirus testing sites, AV-Comparatives or AV-Testing...why not? Because it is JUNK!

Also the only place I found that recommended this program is a very questionable website calling itself

You have a good, very reputable program in Avira. You say you have been using it for years. Why would you even consider changing?

Yes technology is changing rapidly and excellent programs like Avira change right along with it. I guess I never understand why, when folks know they already are using an acknowledged top of the line program, would even consider looking at something else. I just have never understood it. It is just a total mystery to me.
