Anyone using this ? There is an update available. There is no need to uninstall your old version, just make sure it is not running, then install the new one. Hi Everton, The links you have posted don't work. Sorry about that. Strangely they worked on my pc last nigh because I checked them. I am now using iPad and they don’t. Weird ! I received the following reply from the ProBoards Admin concerning this problem: I did try both methods recommended, dragging to URL bar and middle clicking with scrolling wheel and both worked perfectly. We learn something new every day!

Thank you Judy.. I intended to do same when I had access to my pc. Too fiddly on this iPad mini. In hindsight I likely did copy and paste on pc when I posted as had two browsers open. Posting on one and sncBack open in the other.. Thanks for reminder about dragging address. I used to know that before I was old lol I had forgotten. Works with the iPad as welll

Firefox isn't blocking it, at least for me and really should Not be blocking it. A secure site is a good site and you should not have to give any kind of permission to view it or use it. Secure site or Firefox blocking has nothing to do with this problem it has to do with the VigLink redirects on ProBoards. The redirect only takes place when opening the link directly. Middle-clicking the link or clicking and dragging it are interpreted differently by the browser, so the action that causes the VigLink redirect to activate does not take place. You can access the site by following the instructions given by the ProBoards Admin:

Here is an explanation from the ProBoards Administrator of what is happening to cause this inability to connect to the links given and why it is happening:
This problem is happening because the VigLink is not working correctly for this link. ProBoards Admin HAS emailed VigLink's support team about this issue since the link works fine up until the VigLink redirect.
VigLink is a company that helps online websites earn money from their content. ProBoards uses the VigLink Convert service to generate revenue from forums that they host. The forum is eligible to use VigLink's other product, VigLink Insert, to start earning money.
This forum, New World Tech, is NOT a forum that is engaged in money making ventures but the VigLink Convert is always active on all ProBoards forums, whether free or paid forums.
The ProBoard Admin has said that he has only ever seen one issue in the past where VigLink didn't handle the link correctly. They should hopefully be able to correct it once they reach his support ticket. Once he hears back from them he will let me know the cause and the solution to this problem.

Clicked on it, followed instructions to download and install. Everything is working fine. As a side note, I am using the new Firefox Quantum. Yes it is a very good program and has never failed me. The problem is not with the program just with the links posted here which do not work. Updating from within SyncBack works exactly as it should.. the latest version is 8.4.5.0. Updates can be checked for from the Help tab at any time.

I've been using SynchBack (Free) for 10 years or so and it's great. I use Firefox. I have 2 computers networked and Synchback will back up from one to the other. It takes a few minutes to set up but thereafter, it works w/o a problem. Highly recommend it. Joel
