Thank You Judy! Twas more than less what I expected would be the response here. I'll hold off for now. I just updated CCleaner and they offered this app "HotSpot Shield" as a Ad. Obviously, I haven't researched it, but was hoping perhaps you had some experience or additional knowledge you'd like to share about it?
Kind regards, Raphael

Kind regards, Raphael Where in the world are you getting CCleaner? There would be no ads in a CCleaner update especially since this app is NOT from Piriform, the developer of CCleaner and the ONLY place you should get the download if not directly through the program itself. Hotspot Shield is a virtual private network utility developed by AnchorFree, Inc. It is used for securing Internet connections, often in unsecured networks. www.hotspotshield.com/I know absolutely nothing about it.

Thank You! I am running the free version and when there is a newer version available after you open it to use it there is a notification that a new version is available. Or you may choose to "check for updates" After you ticked the result from "check for updates" assuming you go that route, it takes me to a Piriform window and at the bottom of that offers Free, Premium and Premium Plus. Once I tick the Free tab it takes me here filehippo.com/download_ccleaner and that's where I get the update from. I assume that is fine!? Sincerely, Raphael

Sincerely, Raphael No, the download should come from Piriform then that is all you will receive. When you get to Piriform cllick at the top of the page Downloads and choose CCleaner. This will then take you to this link below where you can scroll down and click the Green download button for the Free version and you will receive CCleaner without any ads or additional offers www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

The links available for downloading the free version are ALWAYS filehippo and piriform. I always select Piriform but this time had a look at Filehippo link. There were no ads, and ABP indicated there were none blocked on that site.
