I have noticed where an arrow to point to something or an item encircled to draw attention to it is used. How is this done? I haven't found any tool in 8.1 to be able to do this. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

Can anyone tell me how this is done? Have you actually seen this done here in this forum? Could you give us a link where you have seen this? Honestly I am not exactly sure what you mean.

Can anyone tell me how this is done? Those are attachments done by helpers who use a 3rd party app or the snipping tool that is included in Windows 8.1 or Win 10..... support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots .. site gives explanations for several versions of Windows that will give you an idea on taking a screen shot and then using a program to annotate or put in those red arrows or red highlights circles that you referred to..... once the screen shot is taken and marked up as you want it you then save it and attach the picture/ file to your post... I’m on an iPhone so can’t give you an example here but Everton or another helper can let you know which programs they use for annotating screen shots. 😏 This “How To Geek” site gives some excellent directions and examples on how to do what you want. www.howtogeek.com/226280/how-to-take-screenshots-in-windows-10/Try a couple and you’ll see it isn’t difficult to do at all, just using the tools/programs included with your operating system 👾😁

I personally use an Old version of SnagIt (7) most times but it is quite easy to do simple annotations using the built in Snipping Tool. The link provided above by bigtoe explains how under the "Annotate A Snip' heading

I use the built in Snipping tool, save as .jpg and then edit, add notations or arrows with Photofiltre.

Thanking all for taking time to reply. I do use the snipping tool often and will have to see if I can go from there to accomplish this. Wishing all a Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year!
