It is not the first time I have received one of these emails and like the others this will be promptly deleted. What puzzles me is that I only ever get them AFTER some recent activity with my Apple account which is by no means a regular occurrence. There must be some connection between my using my Apple ID and these random emails arriving. It is too big a coincidence to be otherwise Isnt it? Surely ? It's weird.

Yes I have had them intermittently over several years. I am just puzzled by how they arrive shortly after my apple account activity.

Have you ever reported this to Apple? I think I would do that.

Yes I have had them intermittently over several years. I am just puzzled by how they arrive shortly after my apple account activity. Can also report them by forwarding the email to abuse@icloud.com so they can have all the header information for their followup ... and some other suggestions from Apple at their website (article published 11/16/17 ) ..... support.apple.com/en-us/HT204759Similarly worded phishing efforts by these creeps have been reported with Verizon, PayPal, assorted banking sites, universities, and so on.... These folks just never give up with that dream of someone falling for their effort.....
