I am trying to defrag my computer to see if it will help with a few problems I am having. Mainly just the time and date thing. I keep running into one that says it needs to be optimized. This computer is set to defrag automatically every day. When I try to do a manual defrag on this one drive; \\?\volume(185 392 Hard disk drive needs optimization (12% fragmented) I click on the optimize button and it does nothing.
I have run the malwarebytes, Avira, and SuperAntSpyware and came up with nothing.
Any suggestions? This is an all-in-one HP computer with windows 10.
It's not a real big issue but I would like to get it fixed. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Run a check desk on the drive and then try to defrag. Don't think it will have anything to do with a time/date problem though.

Please explain "the time and date thing". budgall is correct, a defrag is not going to do anything with a time and date problem. I see now that you have two threads going at the same time, not a good idea. You need to get the fix for the time/date problem thread first before going to something else. You also need to title your threads correctly. The time/date problem is actually titled Windows update which implies you are having trouble updating the computer. I am not trying to be picky, just trying to help you get the answers you need. I do believe that budgall likely has given you the most likely cause of the time/date problem in that other thread.

The drive mentioned does not appear to have a letter assigned to it. Could it be a reserved drive or one that does not need/can not be defragged .?
