I save various items in My Documents. When I need or want to print I just click on it and send to printer. That's what I used to do. That is the problem. When I send it to the printer I get an error message as follows : There is no email program associated to perform the required action. Please install an email program, or if one is installed create an association in the Defaults program control panel. That's where I get stumped. I used to be able to print from Document folder, but don't know why I can't now. HP Tower with Windows 7 Canon MX 922 printer Norton anti-virus Netgear router. Thanks to everyone that looks at this.

Not sure why you would choose "Send " or "Send To" because that will give multiple options but Print is not one of them. see attached Right click on the document and you should see what is shown in my 2nd attachment. Choose Print Attachments:

Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. Probably not. I can print ok from My Documents fine. My problem is emailing something from My Documents. I needed to send something that I have saved today and when I clicked on email, that was when I got the message.

If so which one? The message you are receiving indicates that you have not set an email program as your default email program. You must have a default program set in order to be able to do what you want to do Click "Start" and then click the program labeled "Default Programs." Click the option labeled "Set your default programs." Click the email program that you want to set as the default program. Click the option labeled "Set this program as default." Click the button labeled "OK" to finish setting the selected email program as the default email program. You can also open a new mail and choose to add an attachment to that mail and then go to my documents and choose that document you wish to attach.

I use Windows Live Mail. When I go to set default programs, there is no Windows Live Mail listed. How would I go about adding it? I found that I can open my email program and attach like you said. That works for me. When I go to My Documents and open one of files that I have saved, like a picture, the picture will open. At the top of the screen it gives me these options: File Print Email Burn Open. When I click on email is when I get the error about no email program associated.

Don't know what I was thinking Gary. You set the Default mail program from within Windows Live Mail. Open it and go up to File, Options, Mail, General Tab and at the bottom hit the button next to This application is default mail handler. The button says Make Default. Hit Apply. Close it out.
