Helping a friend again. He can't connect to net. I reset his MiFi unit, rebooted his computer and still no connection. Got my MiFi and still the same. My MiFi is working, using it now. It must be something in the computer. Where do I look? He is using win 10. Mainly FF but won't connect using any browser.
Thanks DICK

It won't connect to any network if Airplane mode is on ..... steps to turn on or off: www.tenforums.com/tutorials/15411-turn-off-airplane-mode-windows-10-a.htmlIs it seeing any network in the control panel, such as your or his MiFi? You didn't say whether his MiFi was visible on your computer... Steps to connect to visible and selected network (select network and type in correct password for that network) : www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3520-connect-wireless-network-windows-10-a.htmlLike happens in Airplane Mode, if he is using a laptop, did the Wifi button (if one exists) get pushed so the laptop is not seeking a network? Has he changed anything on the computer, physical or programs, very recently that might not be allowing him to connect? Few more answers or information will give folks a place to focus to resolve the problem.....

Judy-on your link, when I try the ipconfig (all the different one suggested) the screen flashes and nothing ever opens up.
bigtoe- Airplane mode is off, according to settings/status computer is connected to the internet. In the download file the only thing recently(3/11) is 'DWD Protocol' which looks like it's health info.
I'll check back later for more suggestions as he is leaving tomorrow (thur).
Thanks DICK

If he is leaving tomorrow then there is really nothing else I can suggest. Perhaps somebody else will have a suggestion.

Thanks to you both for trying to help. He is parked in an RV next to me and due to medical reasons he has to head to Missouri. Wrong time of the year to be going that way!
Thanks again. DICK

Your welcome Dick... If fellow hasn't left yet, since computer says connected to Internet... temporarily disable AV and Firewall and see if can connect to his or your MiFi hotspot.... some AV programs have kinky updates and need to be uninstalled and then reinstalled which has worked as posted in other forums.... And to clarify, you can connect to his MiFi with your computer, correct?... Just to eliminate that it is not his MiFi...... Otherwise, hope he has safe driving with all the in climate weather still affecting so much of USA. Bless you for assisting him!!
