The reason being came down with ,pneumonia for the 1st. time ever in my life. Also have severe shortness of breath. Going in tomorrow for a follow in from another regular DR. to follow up on what he says. It has been since forever since I have seen a regular DR. Thur. I just started feeling bad and decided I better go to hospital for checkup and that is when they kept me. Will let you know what happens. Also have COPD from smoking 40 plus years and quitting cold turkey.

An update on my condition.
I was released from hospital Sunday afternoon, but had to go back in Tuesday to redo medication and such. So far I am doing much better with my short breath and the other problems. I am back home again for a good while, I hope!!!!!!!!

Please tell us you are still not smoking. I smoked forever and quit 4 years ago using Chantix. Worked great. You're supposed to use it 90 days I think it is but I stopped taking it after 21 days and never looked back and never even wanted another cigarette. I too have COPD but am doing fairly well.

I am very pleased to let you know that after 40+ yrs. of smoking, I quit cold turkey with no kind of non smoking aids. Am doing a lot better with all that was wrong now. Hopefully it will be quite a while before anything happens again.
