Took a drive on Sunday to get closer to these mountains which I can see from my house. It was late afternoon and the light was tricky. I had to do a bit of tone mapping to bring out some detail in the foregound. It is far from perfect but I like the way the low sun is casting its light on the snow and lower hills. The tiny little farmhouse in the front gives some perspective to the mountains. Taken with Canon 450D with a 17-85mm lens Click for full size Attachments:

Absolutely Breathtaking! you need to enlarge and frame this. I love it! You could offer this for sale and have lots of offers.

Beautiful photo as usual Everton but just another reason why I live where I live, just into the tropics on the Capricorn Coast with our rain forests instead of snow.(;-)).
