I did it! One problem; The application files, program data: Tried to delete the Avira folder and received the popup "Program Data You need permission from administrators to make changes to this folder" Couldn't figure out what to do so continued on with the downloaded tool and followed through with the rest of your instructions. (While in program data saw folders for Avast and AVG and deleted them with no problem)

With the exception of Program Data file was everything else removed? If that was all that remained then don't worry about it. That folder just contains data that all users of the computer access and general basic settings for the program. Since you also found old folders from AVG and Avast this should tell you that it causes no problems if it remains. If it did then you would have had some problems from those two old folders.

Sending hugs for all your help and giving this senior citizen the encouragement to try new things starting back in the old days of World Start. Every thing else related to Avira was removed. Thank you!
