Larry, there must be some other reason your computer is not running well. While leaving the default checkmarks in place may remove more than you planned there is nothing in those default selections that would make your computer not run well. The main thing that would be affected is your 1st party cookies, the ones you need to surf easily, would have probably been removed meaning you will have to sign into web sites that normally have your sign in credentials saved. Once you sign in again that should be back to normal. When you say your computer is not running well exactly what do you mean? That really doesn't tell us much. As to your question, no, there is no way to get back to things that were there before running CCleaner, those all are gone. Sorry.

Larry you don't need to use multiple replies, you can put all the problems into one reply. You still have not given enough information to offer suggestions.
Not being able to close Firefox would have nothing to do with running CCleaner. What version of Firefox are you running? Also inability to get your Comcast mail also wouldn't have anything to do with CCleaner especially if you are trying to access it using Firefox. What happens when you try to access your mail?
It sounds to me like your problem is with Firefox and has nothing to do with CCleaner except of course the removal of the 1st party cookies that should not have been removed.

Oh l use avira and l get message in the action center that avira is not running but it shows running l use windows 7 l noticed when l installed CC Crome installed also and in the action center is shows Defender not running whitch l think is good it is not running. You got Chrome because you didn't watch the download/install because you clearly are offered Chrome when the download occurs and you were supposed to remove the check mark saying you wanted Chrome. All you have to do is go to Programs and Features and Uninstall Chrome, that is very easy to do. This tells you why we always say WATCH the downloads and remove check marks from things you may be offered if you don't want them. None of these things with the Action Center would have anything to do with using CCleaner. You are correct, Windows Defender should NOT be running because you are using Avira. Is the Red Umbrella of Avira OPEN? If it is running the Umbrella will be Open. If it is closed then Real Time protection is turned off. Have you rebooted the computer since running CCleaner? If not please do so now.

You cannot close the tab because it is working to access the Comcast mail page. That also has Nothing to do with using CCleaner. They may be having problems with their web site. In my state Comcast is now Infinity and Comcast users have to go to my.xfinity.com/ to access their mail is this the page where you have to go? I don't use Comcast but I certainly can easily access the page.

The problem lies with the page itself. I have accessed it using my link, not yours, yours is incorrect. But the page has something on it that triggers a warning on Firefox stating, "A web page is slowing down your browser, what do you want to do"? It is a yellow warning across the top of the page with the option to stop the page or wait. Then that page is actually frozen and cannot be navigated or closed. The problem is THEM not your computer and absolutely has nothing to do with using CCleaner. Mozilla suggests for this problem to add the JavaScript Toggle On and Off (WebExtension)
Here is information on how to use this from this page: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script?cache=no#w_error-happens-when-accessing-certain-websitesI have never used it so I cannot say if it will work for you or not but this is the suggestion from Mozilla.

Judy, this same thing happened to me using FF and server Mediacombb.net and using my windows live mail (both mine and my wife's). Worked on both of them all weekend, tried so many things (asked GOOGLE "why I can't access my windows live from FF?" did so many things that it said and nothing would clear the problem). The thing that really was confusing in my case "Windows Live has been changed to Outlook Live", kept trying to sign in kept saying wrong user name or wrong password, FF would just stop and had to force close, and it kept telling me FF failed/timed out. What I ended up doing was deleting my mail account access in Windows Live and started out signing in new, so far for 3 days both computers have been accessing our mail from FF. (My regular mail I us Mailwasher and had no problems). I think it had to do with an update with FF or it could have been an update with Outlook Live. ALSO LARRY: When you say you reboot, do you completely shut down your computer and do a cold start up?

ALSO LARRY: When you say you reboot, do you completely shut down your computer and do a cold start up? I was somewhat confused here Wrong#, you keep saying Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail is an email program that is part of Windows Live Essentials. I have used it since Outlook Express was discontinued. It doesn't use a browser to access mail it is a separate program all its own. I presume what you really are talking about is Windows Live which was a set of web services from Microsoft that did include mail service. You probably got the message that it is now Outlook.com because Windows Live, the web service, has been discontinued and is no longer supported but it sounds like you figured your own work around. Hope it will continue for you. Also wonder what you mean by saying Mailwasher is your regular mail. Mailwasher isn't a mail reader/sender program it is an email filtering program that sorts a person's email on the server before it is downloaded onto the users computer. You can't read full email with Mailwasher and you cannot send mail with Mailwasher.

Do you think it is ok to call comcast and see what they say first? then try what you just posted Here is another suggestion from Firefox; Clear your Browser CacheI did this and then went to my.xfinity.com/ and had no difficulty whatsoever. Page worked just fine. So you might try that Larry and see if that makes a difference because it did for me. If it works for you then you wouldn't need to install that extension or use a different browser.
