After running AdwCleaner no threats were detected but received the following: "You may optionally want to run a Basic Repair which will reset Winsock and other settings to their default values". Since I know nothing about this should I choose to run the basic repair or skip it? I don't want to start something that I will not know how to correct. I am having no problems with my computer now.

Just my opinion ... I doubt it would do any harm but I see no need to run it if you are having no problems and your internet connection is ok. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

No need to do this unless you are having continual connection problems or malware has been found and cleaning must be done.
Note the Skip button is in blue in order to get your attention. This means this is the default choice but if you have had no problems. Attachments:

Thank you for your replies. "If it ain’t broke don’t fix it" was my feeling, but thought I should check with more knowledgeable people. Have a great day!
