If you are running out of storage space on your computer, then moving data to another drive could be the answer. FolderMove Free 1.0 could be the answer. I just installed this and it makes moving data from one drive to another a breeze. The program leaves a symbolic link so that your computer always knows where your data is, even after you have moved them. You can also return data to where they came from if you change your mind later.

It looks very interesting Barney but not something I have any use for at present. I have only one drive in my pc which has plenty of room left and I use my externals for backups. I would imagine anyone with a smaller volume or an SSD drive would benefit most. I have not downloaded it so not sure if there are detailed instructions included (it seems fairly straightforward) This site gives some more information about how to use it.http://www.intowindows.com/foldermove-move-installed-programs-and-games-in-windows-10/

My computer has a fairly small 118GB HDD which is 60% full and an 1.8TB SSD drive which is almost empty. I just thought that moving some data across would give my HDD a rest!

As Eve has said, it looks interesting but not really something I need. With the exception of the operating system with drivers & installed programs I have very little on my internal hard drive which is a 1TB drive with 857 GB of free space. Years back, with my original Windows 95 computer I had a hard drive failure and lost lots of documents which could not be replaced and since then I store things like that + photos off the computer. Back then we weren't as aware how important having backups off the computer is a necessity. That taught me the lesson for sure. So now when I create a document or download photos from my camera I never save them on the computer, I save on my external HD and some documents also are on flash drives so that I can move them to other people's computers if needed.
Keep us apprised on how things go with it though because it definitely is something that others very likely would use if needed.

Like Eve and Judy I too have plenty of disk space plus I have plenty of computers. I do daily backups of the computers to an external network connected NAS. In your setup I think FolderMove maybe a good solution. I too would be interested in a followup from you as to how it works for you. I have not checked out Foldermove (its made the to-do list) yet. Looking at the screen shot you provided I get the impression that you could move programs from your C: drive to another drive and that they would run. Have you tried that and did it work?
