It seems to me like Adobe Flash wants to update more often than it used to. Is this a glitch or are these updates necessary this often? I have mine set to let me know when it needs updated only. I don't like things updating/downloading on my computer without me knowing it so if something goes haywire I'll know what happened last so when I come here for help I can give you more pertinent information.

Absolutely, Positively Necessary. ALL of these updates correct very Critical Security Flaws. Your setting to notify you before updating is perfectly fine but you MUST allow it to update.
Read this information and you will see how VERY, VERY Important it is to always take these Flash Updates.

You're welcome Debbie. Especially today, nearly all updates for anything used online or even occasionally online are for security reasons and should most definitely be taken. So many people seem to believe that as long as they have up to date security programs they are 100% safe sorry to say they are not. Keeping only the security programs up to date but ignoring other updates for programs used online is like locking your doors and turning on your burglar alarm but leaving all the windows wide open because you don't like to mess with closing & locking them. Security programs protect against KNOWN threats and how do they find out about these threats...when computers are attacked or hacked. THEN new protection will be developed against those new threats and hackers. What computers are more likely to be attacked or hacked? Those with out of date programs. Keep everything up to date is the rule to always follow.

A good way to see what happened and when is to type 'Reliability' in the search box which will then allow you to open the Reliability Monitor by clicking on 'View Reliability History' The report is divided into days (or optionally weeks) - click on any one and it will show any events or updates that happened plus technical details if you need to see them as well . It shows warnings, application and windows failings and other information.
Very useful
