I have cyberlink webcam. I also have a game on my laptop i like to play alot....atlantis...heres the issue....whenever i open my game to play it, then when i close it....there is an error message that says cyberlink webcam cannot run with the current resolution....was wondering if someone might know why this happens....because i never clicked on the webcam. Ive checked all setting to see if its set to startup automatically....its not... I checked under msconfig and saw nothing....its no big deal....just an annoyance and a curiousity. Anyyone ever run into anything like this?

Sounds like your game is changing your screen resolution. I'm not a game player so I have not experienced anything like that.

Go to Apps, Camera and make sure that it is turned off and make sure that all privacy options are turned off. This laptop is windows 7. How would i get to that? I could just disable it in device manager....then reenable it when and if i want to use it.

You need to be sure your signature is up to date at least with the operating system. I thought it was Windows 10 and therefore posted a reply that is useless.

I forgot to change it. Im always getting different laptops. I installed 10 on this one but it didnt work correct. You couldnt type in the search box or the wireless connection where you enter the security password. Looked it up and alot of people have the same issue. That its a bug that microsoft hasnt addressed. So i downgraded to 7 now it works fine. Ill go and put it in my signature now. By the way i just disabled the camera in device manager. So i dont have to worry about it.

Me too....but it does make sense as the game was created probably around 95 and the resolution is different for it than my laptop. It doesnt do that when i close anything else...now it doesnt do it at all since i disabled the webcam. Well.....this is new and totally un-understandable.....alrhough i disabled the webcam in dm...it still opens that error message when i close the game. Attachments:
