Might be prudent to quality check communications before hitting the “send” button…………….. Let me tell you, friends, that just one simple spelling mistake--even a typo--can make your life hell. A friend of mine recently texted a short, romantic note to his wife while he was away on a football weekend, and he missed one small "e". No problem you might say. Not so! This tiny error has caused him to seek Police protection just to enter his own house. He wrote, "Hi darling, I'm enjoying and experiencing the best time of my whole life, and I wish you were her !"

This holds true for emails too. Years back my friend received an email from a gal we both had gone to school with 40 years before. This gal had always been "naive" when it comes to men. She's a surgical nurse and she told my friend that she was dating a heart surgeon who occasionally operated at the hospital where she worked but he lived in another city. She said that she was sure they were going to end up married but he felt they should both keep their homes in different cities!
My girlfriend was going to forward it to me with the comment, "Yeah right and he probably owns General Motors too". She hit send and then realized she had hit Reply on the mail rather than Forward!. I got a frantic phone call from her and all she could say was, "OMG, OMG, OMG!" She has been very careful since then when she sends email.

Thank You for sharing! As we've all come to realize the world we've made and live in is not the safest place it once was. The Internet has opened up another whole can of worms. I may be way off on this, But is there such a thing as privacy, safety, mutual respect, peace? I believe we all can do better...

The other day in a forum there was a lady (scratch that, a female) that was posting and had posted in 4 or 5 threads and was using cuss words in every one. She hadn't answered a post in 4 or 5 hours and gave the excuse that she had taken her new born to the dr. for some tests. Someone answered her by saying "I hope your newborn daughter learns to talk from her father". Haven't seen her post since, maybe she got the message. I can handle S@@t, D@@b, H@@l once in a while, but when they use the "F" word 2 or 3 times in the same sentence for 3 or 4 posts, I call that a little uncontrollable on their part. The next time I see this person posting like this she is getting blocked, there is no reason for her to to talk that way on an open forum.

Language like that would not be tolerated on this forum.
Sadly, for some it is ‘normal’ speech.

Language like that would not be tolerated on this forum. Sadly, for some it is ‘normal’ speech. More so, the Public Group I was talking about was started by my nephew. When it was started he made me a moderator, I was watching who was allowed on the forum. His daughter posted a new "cover photo" with the "F" word on it. I don't think she even knew who I was, and I asked her to change it as it wasn't fit for the Group. I guess she went to "Daddy", and the next thing myself and 2 other moderators were removed. Now the Group is monitored by my niece and nephew, and he is an over the road truck driver and doesn't do a very good job as the administrator. I really like the Group as it has a lot of kin and a lot of school mates on it, and is a good way to keep in touch. There are 3814 members, but is getting out of hand from the original "This page is for sharing things about _______ ______ or it's residents", and is starting to get members that have nothing to do with the "Description", there seems to be a lot of members that belong to 35 and 40 Public Groups or more, I think they are just trying to see how many Public Groups they can join, I refused one gal that already belonged to 138 Public Groups when I was a moderator. End of rant...
