When I start my computer I get various pictures. When I click to enter my puter I get the attached Bing page. I can't find anywhere to turn it off or uninstall.

What Browser are you using? Microsoft has a vested interest in promoting Bing, and part of that promotion includes using Internet Explorer. Use a different browser. Avoid Internet Explorer. How to disable Bing search in the Windows 10 Start menu
1 Click the Start button.
2 Type Cortana in the Search field.
3 Click Cortana & Search settings. 4 Click the switch beneath Cortana can give you suggestions, reminders, alerts, and more at the top of the menu so that it turns off.
5 Click the switch beneath Search online and include web results so that it turns off.
If you want to turn Bing searches back on, follow steps 1-4, but click the top switch (beneath "Cortana can give you...") so that it turns on. Or Uninstall the Bing Toolbar
Hiding the Bing toolbar doesn’t really remove the Bing toolbar. For that you'll need to go elsewhere.
In Control Panel, click on Programs, Programs and Features to get to the Uninstall or change a program list: Even though you may have disabled it, it remains installed.
Right click on it:
Uninstall option And click on Uninstall.
Hope this is helpful...I'm certain others will "chime in."
Best Wishes.

You are using the Edge browser. You appear to have bing set as your home page . To change this go into settings (see Attachment 1) by clicking on the 3 dots top right, Settings is last on the list - there you can change your start page to whatever one you like.
If you want to change your default search engine to Google then scroll further down in settings to View Advanced settings, then Privacy and Services where you can switch search engines . - see attachments 2 & 3

Everton is correct, this IS the Edge browser. You said that when you click to enter the computer this is what you see and that is definitely the Edge browser. This says to me that you must have Edge set as a Startup program, meaning it will automatically open when the computer is booted. You need to go to Startup programs and remove it. You can do this using Task Manager. Right Click on the Taskbar and choose Task Manager. When that opens go to the Startup Tab. Look for Edge and click on it to highlight it. On the Status column be sure that it is set to Disabled.
Now you also said you cannot find a way to close it or turn it off.
The Edge browser operates just like all other browsers, go to the "X" in the right corner and click it. The browser will close.

I never use the Edge browser or Cortana. I use FireFox.
"In Control Panel, click on Programs, Programs and Features to get to the Uninstall or change a program list: Even though you may have disabled it, it remains installed."
It is not in the "Programs and Features" list.
"The Edge browser operates just like all other browsers, go to the "X" in the right corner and click it. The browser will close." I meant that I didn't know how to stop Bing--not close it. I didn't phrase it right.
I didn't understand the Cortana instructions. When I tried I just got lost.
"You need to go to Startup programs and remove it."
It is not in the 'startup' list.
Thanks DICK

Dick this is very confusing. You DO use the Edge browser because your attachments in your first post all show quite clearly that Edge is the browser you were using. If you want to stop bing coming up as your home page and being the default search engine then follow the instructions I gave in reply #2 .. these instructions apply only to Edge. I’m sorry but you may need to explain further for anyone to understand your problem. You are using Edge and your problem is fixable. You have no need to uninstall any bing toolbar as suggested in reply #1 as far as I can see because it is not a toolbar that is your problem it is a start page in Edge.
Can you tell us how this Edge browser is opened ...... do you open it or does it open when you click on a site you have saved. If that is the case Edge must be your default browser and you need to change it to Firefox if that is your browser of choice.

Dick, As Everton says that IS the Edge browser showing in your original attachments. So it is being opened somehow. So please explain further so that we can truly know WHEN you are seeing this Edge browser with the Bing page. The one in your attachments appears to be one that is opening on the last search done.
Don't worry about the Cortana instructions given to you. I never use it either, I think it is very confusing and I have mine totally turned off.
Plus the advice given in reply #1 is old information from several 8 year old Ask Leo columns. You can tell this because it says "Microsoft has a vested interest in promoting Bing, and part of that promotion includes using Internet Explorer" and that is no longer the case and hasn't been since the introduction of the Edge browser. It is the Edge browser that Microsoft wants you to use with Bing as your search engine. The final version of Internet Explorer is Internet Explorer 11 and MS wants you to use Edge instead.
Also for some reason you have been posting multiple copies of the same attachment. In your first post you have three copies of the same attachment and in you latest reply you have two copies of the same attachment. One is enough so please be sure that you post only one copy of each one.

Hopefully the attachments will help explain. When I turn on the puter I get the first pic (Usually the pics change to one of the ones on the Bing page). I click on the magnifying glass and the 2nd pic opens up. I click the 'sign in' and then the 3rd page shows up.
FF is my default browser.
Thanks DICK

Dick both Everton and I DO understand what you are saying but you must also understand and believe what we are saying, your third image absolutely, positively shows the EDGE browser IS Open which is noted by the greyed area on the taskbar where the "E" for Edge Icon is sitting meaning it IS open and the home page is very likely Bing. *See my attachment and note where the arrow is pointing*
Now I have found this solution given on many links;
Go to Settings, Privacy and Scroll down to Background Apps. Make sure that Microsoft Edge is turned OFF.
Also make 100% sure that Firefox is noted as your Default Browser. You can check in Firefox by going to Tools, Options and the first screen you will see should say that Firefox is your default browser.

Your screenshots clarify things . You have your lock screen configured to display ‘Windows Spotlight’ with images from Bing. You can change this by going to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Background > Windows spotlight > select a different lock screen background you can change your lock screen to any picture you like. Just make sure you change it to anything but ‘Windows spotlight’. There are 3 choices: ‘Windows spotlight’, ‘Picture’ and ‘Slideshow’. By default Windows 10 will use the ‘Windows spotlight’ option which downloads the images and shows different images in the lock screen. This is what you have been seeing.
Changing to a picture (or slideshow) could fix your problem.
You can keep Edge as well as an alternative to Firefox. It is a good plan to have at least 2 browsers, just keep Firefox as your default.

Instead of clicking on the magnifying glass, click in the centre of your screen (around about the whales tail) This will then show your sign in screen. (Your attachment 2)
Login from there and you will be taken to your desktop. Incidentally, this only happens with me on my club office machine because I 'Lock' the machine instead of switching it off. I don't lock my other machines so this situation does not arise. Are you locking your machine instead of switching off?
Just realised that there is an easier way round this. Instead of left clicking on your screen, right click anywhere and this will take you to the sign in screen. No more Bing!
Clicking on the magnifying glass is taking you to Bing.

Barney, I don’t understand how you do not get the lock screen when you have turned off your computer. You must have disabled it via the registry ?
On my pc right clicking the lock screen does nothing at all. A Left click or a tap on any key brings up the sign in screen.

Everton, I think I may have caused some confusion here. I DO get the lock screen when I switch on my other machines and a left click opens the sign in screen.. The difference is that on the office machine, instead of switching off, I click on 'Start' and select 'Lock' instead of switching off. This is to allow certain members of staff who know the PIN to access the computer quickly without having to switch on from cold. In this case, the lock screen with the magnifying glass that Lester is clicking on appears and takes him to Bing. A right click on this screen does open the sign in screen. If you try 'Start' , 'Lock' you will see what I mean.
BTW, I am using Classic Shell.

By changing all of my settings I HAVE been able to duplicate what Dick is seeing and Barney is correct, clicking that magnifying glass IS taking you to Bing on the Edge browser.
By going back and using the setting I gave earlier;
Go to Settings, Privacy and Scroll down to Background Apps. Make sure that Microsoft Edge is turned OFF.
Plus the setting in Personalization noted by Everton;
Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Background and have Picture is chosen NOT the ‘Windows spotlight’ option.
On that same section I also have every option given set to OFF.
I rarely use Lock. But if I do use Lock my Lock Down screen shows a personal picture that I have taken and chosen to use.
To go from the Lock Screen to use the computer I hit any Key on the keyboard. Then I am given the Sign on screen. I put in my password and hit Enter. I am then taken to the desktop or to where ever I was when I locked the computer.
But as I said, I almost Never use Lock and by using the settings I noted above I personally only see the Lock Screen IF I have chosen Lock and not Shut Down.
When I turn on my computer after shut down I see just two screens before the desktop, the Dell boot screen, then I see the Welcome Judy Screen and then my desktop. Since there are only two of us in the house I have chosen NOT to require sign in from shut down though if I do use Lock then of course a sign in is required. As I said, I rarely, if ever use Lock.
