It is NOT an article for reading, it is a video is the reason it won't open for reading. I couldn't get it to play with Firefox but could play it with Edge.
Not sure what you mean by editing out the left column. There are only Section Headings there; Home, Mail, News(with many sub headings there), ATT Begin, Finance, Sports, Entertainment, Weather. I see nothing that would be identifying for personal nature. What is it you don't want people to see.

Father below what you see is where I save certain things that would identify me, or show things Not wanted to be seen. OK, I get the video vs reading part now.

The link opens to a "generic" page that requires users to sign in for anything personal to be seen and it would be the person signing in personal options not somebody else. There is absolutely nothing, top to bottom on the left side except what I have listed. Nothing else. All generic listings period.

Judy, I have to apologize to you, the things that I was talking about are only shown on my email inbox page.

Judy, I have to apologize to you, the things that I was talking about are only shown on my email inbox page. Not a problem and certainly no apologies necessary. I figured it had to be something like that and of course the link is, as I said, just to the generic sign in page and there would be no personal things that could possibly be showing there.

Opened up and played automatically for me in FF. Nightowl & I both got it to play. Actual difficulty was nightowl was not aware that it was a video not a printed article. He was not trying to open it correctly. So all is fine.

In your other post, you said that it didn't play for you and then after I said I had no problem in FF, you came back and said you and nightowl got it to play.
Why does it take 2 or 3 days to get a reply that someone has posted in a thread that you posted in?

I think there is a misunderstanding here.. it was able to be played in Edge. I could not get it to play in FF (the latest version ) but it played in Edge. For Firefox for me there was no start arrow. I would not have been aware it was a video either. Obviously your FF is configured differently to mine. Just out of interest with which version of Firefox were you able to get it to work ?

I haven't had it ever take 2 or 3 days to get a notification that a reply has been made where I have participated I have mine set to instantly notify me of a response. You determine the speed at which you receive notifications by editing your profile. Go to your profile, click Edit Profile, then click Notifications. You can choose there all the various options for notifications that you wish. I have mine set to instantly notify me when a reply has been made to a thread where I have participated has occurred. Choices range from instantly, daily, weekly, never. You have to also be sure to have a check mark in the box to indicate you have made a choice in that section. Other than members using settings they want that we as Admins have no capability of how often members can receive notifications. If the ProBoard server is operating slowly then that is nothing we can change or do about it.

Everybody likely has their browsers configured differently, with different plug-ins, different security settings, etc. Any number of outside things can affect the ability to play a video on one browser and not another, in addition to the browser settings, security settings, plug-ins, security Programs on the computer can affect the ability to play a video. Operating systems may also react differently. Just because one person can get it to play in a specific browser and another person cannot really means nothing. The most standard recommendation given virtually everywhere is if you cannot get a video to play in one browser then try another. Quite often there are videos I cannot play in Firefox OR Opera but will play on Edge. So what do I do? Change Firefox settings? No. I use Edge. This particular video did not play for me in Firefox. Like Everton in "Firefox for me there was no start arrow" so no indication that said it was a video. Most likely reason we could not even recognize that this was a video is because we have 3rd party cookies blocked in Firefox. On this particular page which is start.att.net/ (1st party cookie) the video in question was from a 3rd party site, Fox news. Therefore since our Firefox is configured to NOT accept 3rd party cookies we could not play the video because that video leaves a 3rd party cookie.

Well done spotting the 3rd party cookie reason for this
