How to disable Microsoft Edge's 'First Run' welcome page in Windows 10 - this is a link to Windows Central and gives instructions for how to disable the welcome page (Microsoft Edge Tips) that appears in windows Edge after a Feature Update or when opening Edge for the first time. It involves using the Local Group Policy Editor if you have Windows 10 Pro or alternately by using the registry (adding a new D-word) . Personally I can not see any reason to want to disable it but it appears some folk find it an annoyance. Care must always be taken when altering the registry.
I believe setting a custom start page will also do the job much more simply
