I used to have DuckDuckGo show up whenever I opened a new tab. Can't remember how I set that up. Any ideas?

In Firefox, go to 'Tools' , 'Options' and in the left hand column, click on 'Search' Under 'Search Engine' use the drop down menu to select DuckDuckGo as your default search engine.

I guess I didn't state it correctly. My home page is already DDG. What I used to have was DDG would show up on the page whenever I clicked the + button to open a new tab.
I hope this clears up what I want to do. Thanks DICK

It seems from this mozilla link that the only way to do what you want is by means of an add on called New Tab Override.
Here is the address for the Add on. Compatible with Firefox 57 and later. I have not used it myself
