I have been using Firefox as my default browser for some time and "The New York Times" as my home page. I am also a subscriber to the "Times". Suddenly this week I could not log into the website or my account on Firefox but was told by one of their representatives that I could do it on another browser because they were having trouble with Firefox. However, I found that I could accomplish both log ins on another computer with the same Windows 10 version (the other one is Windows 10 pro, the first computer is Windows 10 Home). I have not called the "Times" because I feel that it would be a waste of time. Does anyone have any idea as to what is the solution? I know that it's easily solved, I now use Google Chrome but I would prefer Firefox.

Does Firefox or the Times site give you a reason for not being able to log in to the NY Times site, such as incorrect password or user name?.... very possible that the "cookie" for that site on your one computer's Firefox browser has become corrupted due to a "hiccup" or some other technical reason.... Here's a link showing how to remove a single cookie or more, or history, in Firefox on that misbehaving computer.... support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-cookies-remove-info-websites-storedOnce the cookie has been deleted you can again try logging in to NY Times using a newly typed user name and password, and most likely the problem will be resolved... corrupted cookies tend to be the most common difficulty getting into a particular site with a browser.... the cookie on a different browser, like Chrome, would not be affected by the Firefox problem.... Good luck!

You beat me to it bigtoe! You asked question too that I forgot to ask...the MOST IMPORTANT question, "reason for not being able to log in to the NY Times site, such as incorrect password or user name?"
We do need those answers ahduncu.
Can you view the web page? I subscribe to the NY Times also and have no difficulty logging in with any browser. I choose also to Stay Logged in with all my browsers so that I do not have to log in every time.
Exactly what happens when you try to log in? Are you 100% certain that you are using the correct username and password on that computer for the NYT?

It worked! I found that the website had been blocked, for some peculiar reason, deleted the blocked site and I was immediately allowed in to both the web site and my account. I did not have to check my I.D and password because everything opened up. Thanks for your advice it worked!
