Windows 10 Windows Update today offered KB4464330. www.mspoweruser.com offers the following about the update: "The update addresses a serious issue which can result in the deletion of a user profile when upgrading to the OS. The changelog reads: Addresses an issue where an incorrect timing calculation may prematurely delete user profiles on devices subject to the “Delete user profiles older than a specified number of day” group policy. Security updates to Windows Kernel, Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Linux, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows MSXML, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Peripherals, Microsoft Edge, Windows Media Player, and Internet Explorer. Interestingly this is not believed to be the issue which has caused Microsoft to halt the roll-out of the October 2018 update, as most of those devices were consumer PCs without any special group policies in place. The update will be pushed out to PCs on the October 2018 update and will presumably be slipstreamed into the October 2018 update before Microsoft resumes rolling out the update." After the update was applied winver reports I am at Build 1809 14463.55. So far I have had no issues with the October 2018 update. In a prior thread I reported that I was getting BSOD 4-5 times a month with the pre October 2018 version of Windows 10, since installing the October 2018 update I have not had any BSOD.

Did you actually download and install this? According to the link this is a "test" released to those who are in the Windows 10 Insiders in the Slow Ring and Release Preview Ring. If it works well then it will be released to the rest of us who didn't receive the update before they paused it.

It was on Windows Update as well as an update for the software removal tool. Thanks for that info. I will wait as I usually do for the automatic update to occur.

I also received the Cumulative Update KB4464330 one week after my successful install of the October 2018 Update. However checking WINVER my OS Build is now 1809 17763.55 which is different to Budgall's. Budgall - can you check yours again ?

I must have had a keyboard malfunction because I know it wasn't a operator problem. You are correct it is 1809 17763.55.
