Look again nightowl. This has NOTHING to do with a Chrome browser. It says to create a folder CALLED chrome.

Really not sure what Tabs you are talking about on Firefox, Tab Bar??? Or just Tabs in general, you need to be more clear when you ask your questions. You did not say in your original post even what Browser you were talking about so no need to "go at" Phil when he didn't even know. Here is info from WikiHow: www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Tab-Settings-on-FirefoxIf that doesn't cover what you are talking about then please rephrase your question with all necessary information so we understand exactly what you want and then hopefully somebody will have the answer you want.

Tab bar.
Tab bar is on on top of screen, right below file, edit, etc. Want it below the address bar.

My instructions will get your firefox tabs below all other toolbars. Firefox will automatically look for a folder called "chrome" in your profile folder. If it finds such a folder it will follow whatever instructions are located in the folder - in this case instructions to place the tabs toolbar at the bottom.
Where it says "new folder" you just type "chrome".

I'm going to back away from this for a little while and give my mind a rest.

This most certainly works. It took me some trial and error to do it - my problem was I failed to make sure file extensions were visible (as instructed in the link)and thus ended up with a file with .css added twice which of course made it useless. Once I removed that extra extension .css and reopened Firefox the tabs were beneath the address bar as required.
Thank you for these instructions Phil. I have posted to reiterate your words "slowly and carefully" because missing that vital step was what caused my problems first time round.
THis is the one and only way to achieve what you want to do Nightowl - there is no add on or extension that can do for you as it as in the past. It really is very easy if you take your time.

Why is moving the tabs bar needed? I don't see the need.

Why is moving the tabs bar needed? I don't see the need. It is just a personal preference for some.
It does not bother me one way or the other but I actually prefer the tabs at the top.
It was possible to change the position by means of an add on up until Firefox V 57 but now it can't be done that way.
There is no NEED for classic shell start menu but some folk prefer it to the Windows 10 Start menu - another case of personal preference.
To each their own
