This morning when I turned on my desktop computer my fire fox icon was no longer there. Can someone please help me get fire fox back with my set up as it was please. Everything worked fine last night when I shut down. This site has completely changed since I was last on it, so I hope I can figure how things are working here now. Thanks for any help Char

I really doubt that Firefox is gone from the computer. It is not unusual for a program Icon to suddenly disappear. Just do a Search on the computer and you should find the program and when you do just create a new shortcut icon. When the icon disappears it really changes nothing in the program so there shouldn't be anything to get back except the icon.
It Firefox is 100% gone then that would be the least of your problems because that would be an indication of a major problem with the entire computer not just one program. A program won't disappear entirely from the computer without some sort of outside action. By that I mean it must be something that is done manually by one of the users of the computer or of course there could be some sort of major infection that would be causing damage.
Do the search, I would bet it is still there.
Not sure what you mean about this site changing. Please explain that. It has not changed in layout since the very first day it went 1 year and 3 months ago. We have added more forum sections but the actual forum looks and works exactly the same way it has always worked. If you are using a different browser then maybe the color is different when viewing in that browser but even that would be unusual. But this site has not been changed at all.

I have looked for Firefox. I went to (window icon) lower left corner of screen. It doesn’t list it (It does show it there in my laptop ) I went to settings / Apps & Features and it does show there (but you can only uninstall it from there)
Please explain if there is somewhere else I can look?
Your site may not have changed, it’s just that I guess I forget how to do things in it.
Thanks for any help. Char

The Windows Icon doesn't list programs, it has a Search box there. If you type Firefox into that box then it WILL come up.
*See my 1st attachment* You can double click it and it will open.
*See my 2nd attachment* You can also RIGHT CLICK the icon and choose Pin to Task bar & Pin to Start Menu.
The actual location of the Firefox Program folder is C:\Program Files (x86) Mozilla Firefox.
It would be most helpful for those attempting to help you if you would create a signature listing your make and model of computer and your operating system. It makes a big difference when we try to offer solutions. Attachments:

Thank you Judy. When I typed firefox in search it listed Firefox Desktop App, Firefox set up 18.0 exe – 3.6.9 exe - 3.6.8 exe & 3.6.3 exe. By clicking on the Desktop App it then brought up the firefox site. (thank you so much for that) Shouldn’t it show up in the listing which shows up when you click on the win. Flag in the lower left corner of the screen in the task bar? That is where I was looking and where it shows up on my laptop. Do you need to have an account with firefox or is there any advantage? I just listed it as my free browser years ago. Will try and create my signature again, it used to be listed at one time. Again thank you for the help. Char
How do you enter your signature? Or do you have to enter it each time on your posting?

Firefox does NOT show automatically in the All program listings anymore on the newer operating systems, at least it does not on any of my computers. Why? I have no idea but I presume the browsers are now considered Apps. Now, the setup 18.0 exe, 3.6.9.exe and 3.6.3 exe are all very, very old files and you need to right click and delete them all. Now what version of Firefox are you using? Hopefully the most recent version which was released just last week. It is version 63.0. You create your signature one time and then it shows on all of your posts like mine shows at the bottom of mine. Click on your User Name. This will open your Profile. When your profile is open then click on the Edit Profile Button on the upper right side. When Profile and Settings Opens then click on the Personal Button. When Personal Information opens then scroll down to the Signature box and type the information about your computer in there. Once you have completed that scroll down and click the Save Personal Settings button and your signature will be saved.
