Sorry but I really question this. The writer says "this bug makes your Windows 10 computer useless" but if this were truly the case then the solution given could not possibly be done at all. His solution? Use Task Manager and close Chrome processes and "computer will now return to its normal state." If you can use Windows Task Explorer then there is no way that Windows 10 has crashed. The browser yes, but certainly not the operating system.
Sorry but I don't buy it. For one thing the link given is the only one I could find anywhere that even mentions this "exploit", especially one that comes with "a pop-up comes up which claims to be from Microsoft support". These would be two totally different things. A freezing Chrome browser or any browser for that matter can be caused by many, many things; problematic add-on, over full browser cache, too many tabs open, even the need for an updated video card driver or changing settings in the browser.
The alleged Microsoft support pop up is a well known piece of malware. Microsoft NEVER gives this type of alert on an computer and if you receive one then using the Task Manager would NEVER get rid of it. Why? Because it is malware and the computer needs a good cleaning like those recommended in our Preliminary Cleanup Steps.

I have to agree with Judy on this. I also did not find any other website discussing this "exploit". I also am a heavy user of Chrome and have never had Chrome freeze or lockup my computer.

I don't use Chrome as most all know but I did spend an hour or more researching this "exploit" and never found it anywhere else. I found articles on Chrome exploits on various other reputable sites but all of those were old, some as old as 6 or more years and none within the last year or so. Don't know where this writer of the article got his info but I think he should do a bit more research, especially on how to solve something like this cause Task Manager would not fix what was described there.

I don't know where the writer got his info but there is no way the actual computer would have been rendered unusable that is for sure.
I had EDGE freeze the other day and with EDGE I could do nothing and I did have to use Task Manager to shut it down but the computer itself was working just fine. Once EDGE was shut down and restarted It also worked just fine. No exploit there just likely doing too much.
