For our friends and especially a very helpful soul, Everton in New Zealand, a Happy Waitangi Day to all Kiwi s in New Zealand celebrating their national holiday on Feb 6th ...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waitangi_Day .... Looks like a great day of happy celebration for you.... a bit similar to the July 4th Independence Day celebration we have here in the USA during our Summer month....... Enjoy your Summer holiday..... .... and THANKS for all your helpful replies and assistance given to all users at New World Tech. Perhaps the holiday is what spurred the tantalizing descriptive word TANGY used for many delicious and tasty foods (or should it be spelled TANGI ...... )

Our little town did not have any official Waitangi Day celebrations but as it was a holiday we packed up a few ham & tomato sandwiches and a flask of coffee and went down to the harbour for a picnic in the sunshine. As nice a way as any to spend a day off work !
