Suddenly my printer will not print. The pop-up says: "Printer in an error state" also "error Printing on Cannon MX450 Series WS" I spent the last 3 hours trying all kinds of fixes but nothing works. I wonder if someone can help me. I am using the printer wirelessly with my 2 Windows 10 laptops and also with my 2 iPads Pro. It worked with all of the devises before today. Thanks in advance. Vera

Unless you tell us what the "all kinds of fixes" were we won't know what to suggest except probably what you have already tried.
Where did you get these fixes? If you have links for these fixes please include those links.

I tried the troubleshooter of the printer several times. Unplugged and plugged back in laptop and printer, even did the same with my router several times. In between I tried printing again with the same results. I was finally able to make the printer my default printer but it now says printer not responding.

You say it does not work with ANY of the four devices you have, correct?
There are several different reasons that will trigger these errors to be displayed, paper jams or low ink levels are two of them. Have you turned off the printer and checked for a paper jam? Have you checked the ink level on the printer?
Have you checked both of those?
Are you 100% certain that the printer is turned on? It must be left turned on.
Is this printer visible on every one of your devices? On the Windows 10 laptops check in Devices and Printers and be sure that the printer is visible on both. I don't have an iPad so can't help you with those. Let me know

I now see that the Bluetooth button is not working on the printer, meaning Bluetooth somehow got turned off. The printer is not mentioned in " Bluetooth and other devices" how do I turn that back on? I think that might be the problem. I could not say for sure that's how it was when I started to print this morning and it did not work.I did everything you mentioned, Judy, but to no avail.

I have no idea. That should be in your user manual. I have never used a printer that connects via bluetooth.
On my computer it is listed under Devices and Printers. Bluetooth is not mentioned there.
My wireless printer just connects to all my computers via my router. Are you 100% certain this printer connects via Bluetooth?
Check with Canon is all I can tell you.

I fixed this type of problem once by powering all computers and printer off. Leave everything off for a couple of minutes.Power on the printer and wait another minute or so until the printer completes its initializing process, then power on the first computer. Allow the computer to completely start and initialize attached devices and load any startup programs. When first computer has initialized repeat this startup process for the remaining computers.

See Vera's reply #2, she already did this. I honestly am wondering if she actually connected via bluetooth because she has a previous thread about connecting this same printer wirelessly and no mention of using bluetooth.

Got the Bluetooth working again on the printer but it still does not print although it say "printer is on-line" now. I'm going to try bugall's fix in awhile when the gadgets are not being used. Thanks to both of you. I hope I can tell you good news in the future.

Must have mis-understood what you meant. Hope it works!

Yay... Budgall’s fix worked! I followed the advice to a T. Before I unplugged and plugged back the devices but never all at once. I hope when laptop 2 and iPhone 2 come back on line it will still work although this afternoon I was able to print from iPhone 1 why? I have no idea.

Do each one one at a time, allowing them to boot completely, just like budgall said and it should work. Glad it is fixed!

No. 2 gadgets are connected now too. Thanks to both of you. I totally forgot that I had the same problem before. Must be old age getting to me. I am so glad to know that when computer problems arrive somebody on this site can help. Very impressive. 👍🤗.
