It's not really Mozilla Thunderbird any more because they have broken away from Mozilla. Its Just Thunderbird now.
I found it when I was looking for a new email program after Windows Live Mail went bust.
I haven't found anyone that has disliked it. At first I found it a bit hard to use, but as I used it and some of their updates made it easier to use it I have liked it more and more.
The junk mail part is a godsend As you and others use it you are training it to sort out the junk and send it directly to the "JUNK File" When something new comes up you have your choice to click junk or delete.
It has never sent something to the junk file that wasn't supposed to be there. When you open it and watch each email to go into the inbox Blink-blink-blink- Then it sends each email that is junk goes into the junk file Blick-blick-blick. And within seconds it's all done.
