I have a link to a video I would like to also save to my computer while I am watching it. The link does not offer the ability to save the video, only watch it. I had a browser add-on years ago that would save it as it played but don't remember its name. Anyone have any suggestions for me.

I am at this moment using the free Video Download Helper extension. In firefox just go to Tools/Addons and look for Video Download Helper

There is no mp3 or mp4 ive ever tried to download that wouldnt work. If you have an android phone that will most likely work.

sirfredrico - Found a solution, see message 4 above. Android phone solution wouldn't work for me as I wanted downloaded files to be on one of my PCs. Glad you got it. It would work but you have to have a cord with a charging cord. After you download it on your phone you connect the charging end to your phone and the usb end to your computer. Open downloads:mp34. And youd find your video in there. Move it from your phone to your computer and you have it.

On my high speed internet connection the two files I wanted downloaded in about 20 seconds.
