Yesterday I gave a friend of mom my wireless password, the pw on the bottom of my modem. Can she access anything on my laptop, she lived miles away if that matters.

Yesterday I gave a friend of mom my wireless password, the pw on the bottom of my modem. Can she access anything on my laptop, she lived miles away if that matters. That password is for use to connect to that one modem and nothing else. Has nothing to do with Your laptop it is for using your wireless connection which cannot be used miles away but only in your home. My husband and I both use the same wireless connection in the very same house but I cannot access anything on his tablet and he can't access anything on my computer. The modem password allows a person to access the internet using that wi-fi connection but not anything else |
