I understand that Windows support for my Laptop (Windows Professional 7.0) will end January 20, 2020....My question to you all is....Should I buy a new laptop or upgrade this one. I truly love my Windows Professional 7.0....but will adapt if necessary, but remember I am a 80+ grandmother who loves her computer for many many reasons. I bought this laptop January 11, 2016 and never had a problem with it. Thank You!

Really the choice has to be yours. Don't honestly know that I would recommend you upgrade this computer to Windows 10. You do have to pay for that, it isn't free, though many will tell you that they "have a way" to get if for free, personally I wouldn't do it. You would still have to pay Microsoft for validation in order to have it supported so it still would be over $150 most of the time. The other question, would YOU feel comfortable doing all of this yourself or will you have to pay a tech to do it for you? That said, depending on what you purchase a new similar laptop will cost you anywhere from $400 upwards.
What do you do online? Do you do a lot of downloading? Do you visit pretty much the same web sites or are you more prone to "surf around" to unknown places?
I do have one concern, you say that you use Windows Defender AND Panda Security Free. That is two anti-virus programs. The "rule of thumb" is ONE anti-virus program. OR are you just using the Windows Defender for the Firewall? If so then that is fine.
I am sure I will get a lot of criticism but if the computer serves you well, you are a 100% safe user, not a bunch of downloading or "surfing where most dare not go" then I would say, keep the computer and save your hundreds of dollars for something else.

The free update to Windows 10 is still available and requires only a valid Windows 7 or Windows 8 license key. I did this process last week to my last Windows 7 computer. If your computer was my computer I would update it to Windows 10 via the media creation tool. If or when the process requests the Windows 10 key, tell the install program you do not have one. The update should continue to completion. Once the computer is updated go to settings > update > activation > change product key and enter your Windows 7 product key. Your Windows 10 should now be activated.
If for some reason the Widows 10 update fails, the install program should roll back the computer to Windows 7.
I also would not object to you not upgrading the computer at all and leaving it on Windows 7. Good computer usage and being a "100% safe user" as well as maintaining the necessary security software should all that's needed. The world is not going to end because Microsoft has stopped providing security updates to Windows 7. There still are millions of users running Windows XP safely out there who have not had security updates for years now.
