Can't find away to get rid of this. Comes on the desktop each time the computer is turned on 've searched ways to get rid of it, but they are too complicated for me to attempt to remove. It doesn't really bother me -just one click and it is gone. I'll type in the text incase the attachment is to small to read. WINDOWS SCRIPT HOST Cannot find script file "C:\ program files (X86)\HP\audioswitch\HP\audioswitch LC. vbs

OK I clicked on this and all I can say I MUDDLED thru this website--Apparently it opened Malwarebytes premium trial and it blocked some site "reimage " or something like that. I have been using Malwarebytes premium trial for about 10 days and 2 days ago it found many PUP stuff. That's the best I can tell you of what happened. I shut down the computer and when started again it was gone. Tomorrow we'll see if I'm really in the clear. Thanks.

I didn't spend too much these past weeks trying to find it. The oncologist has been getting my attention (and my money) lately. And the pain meds tell me go to bed.

Thanks goodness for Malwarebytes' Premium trial for you! That Reimage is a program and website you do NOT want at all.
Here is a suggestion;
Put your cursor on the task bar and right click. When the list of options opens choose Task Manager.
When Task Manager opens go to the Startups Tab. Go down through the list and see if HPAudioSwitchLC.vbs listed there. If it is then click on it to Highlight it and then click on the Disable button which should be on the right lower corner. This should stop the computer from looking for this HPAudioSwitchLC.vbs at start up.
See if this works. Let me know.

HPAudioSwitchLC.vbs showed up in uninstall in the control Panel after all that stuff when I clicked on NightOwl's link before for the past few weeks it was there. So that was an easy fix. Also Reimage is no longer around. So my old HP PC is purring like a kitten again.
